Turquoise for day, Black spinel for a night out: We designed a version of popular petite hoop that’s completely reversible. Each style comes with two types of gemstones—one set faces out, and you just flip the hoop around for a completely different look. You can also order each hoop separately—choosing up to four gemstone colors—to create even more artfully mismatched combinations. Adding charms will amplify this effect.
Earwires are made in 18k gold for hypoallergenic.
Genuine Turquoise & Black Spinel: Turquoise is an opaque blue-to-green mineral, technically a hydrated phosphate of copper and aluminum. It is available in numerous shades of blue and green colors, depending on its origin. The rarest and most beautiful is the robin’s egg blue variety from the now-defunct Sleeping Beauty mine in Arizona. Turquoise is a staple of Native American jewelry and some of it is highly collectible and rare. Some varieties of turquoise, like Kingman Turquoise, display black spiderweb veins (referred to as matrix).
Metaphysical Properties: Turquoise can balance the mood and be thought of as an oasis of calm. It is a highly sacred stone for the Native American community; the Navajo revere it as a stone of good luck and protection that also represents power, status, and luxury. More generally, the stone is life-giving, restorative, and a powerful tool for recharging your physical and spiritual energy.
